Amused, really.

"Of course there are racist people out there who will treat you differently, but those people are becoming less and less. If this was the 70's, I would say you have a point. Not anymore. No matter how much you try to argue, my experiences have shown me that 'white privilege' is an outdated term that people who are obsessed with 'celebrating diversity ' like to use."

"Racism is NOT a social justice issue"

"This school is so ridiculous. I'm sick of everyone caring so much about race! Seriously, I'm going to start being a fucking racist just to protest."

"What pisses me off is that our school constantly tries to teach us understanding and equality, especially to white students (because we are so privileged), when I feel like the real racists are the black girls. There are so many black girls...[who are] so loud-mouthed, bossy, mean, and they think they are better than everyone else."
--....you mean like all the white girls who come from affluent, rich families who look down on everyone else that have to take out a loan or are on finaid just to make the $50,390/year payments to go to this school? no way. that's legit a high salary for the majority of this country. And we have to pay that. Every year.

Quotes taken directly from students who attend my liberal arts college.... It's cute that we are known as the seven sister school who churns out the most women who end up in social science fields. I hope the person who made the second quote is not one of them.
